Remembering Mother Teresa

My idea when I decided to create the Beautiful Souls blog was honor people who makes a difference. We live in a world where the illusion of be successful means be on in reality TV show where to make money and be famous, people expose personal issues and engages in odd situations without moral or rules. Thank God alongside this 'nonsense scenario' is another kind world. A world where people are real and have a better understanding about success and happiness.
These are people who work hard to makes our world a better place. These are people like Mother Teresa of Calcutta. She was full of love and was born to teach us to give. "Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do... but how much love we put in that action." Wise worlds from a 'fragile looking' woman who was bigger than life and with power to change lives.
Mother Teresa was a example of a Beautiful Soul. Her presence on the earth was a gift from God to open our eyes and heart for the real mean of the real and beautiful world.
You don't have to do what Mother Teresa did, feeding thousands and fighting against the poverty, but we can start following her example: " If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one."

Make a Difference Night - Donate for the cause

Today I want to talk about a wonderful volunteer group making a difference in the Boston (MA) area community. These are people who dedicate their lives to educate about the HIV virus.
They are the Alliance Volunteer Group.
The program is coordinate by Mariete Campiteli, supervisor of the Community Services and Outreach Program at Department of Community Affairs at the Cambridge Health Alliance.
They perform outreach in restaurants, clubs, festivals and parties delivering condoms and bilingual pamphlets to educate, prevent and treat HIV/Aids. Mariete and her group are exceptional people who overcome the financial barriers to educate about prevention. They volunteer job is crucial for a community that lacks resources in the Health care sector.
'The Make a Difference Night' will be held on October 1st to celebrate the group 10th Anniversary.
The program assists more than 500 people contaminated by the HIV virus.
Call Mariete Campitele at 617-591-6768 for more details and learn how to donate and help the cause. Help us to make a difference.
Note: " At the end of 2009, 33.3 million [31.4 million–35.3 million] people were estimated to be living with HIV, up slightly from 32.8 million [30.9 million–34.7 million] in 2008. This is in large part due to more people living longer as access to antiretroviral (anti-HIV) therapy increases. " http://www.actoronto.org

Gabrielle Foundiller, a young beautiful soul

Gabrielle Fondiller is the founder of Hatua Likoni, organization that gives Kenyans kids a chance to have an education. In interview to csmonitor.com she explains:" Until 2002, there was no free education on Kenya. Because of international influence, the government instituted free education in 2002, but it’s incredibly underfunded. And now, it’s receiving less funding because there’s been scandals and corruption in the Ministry of Education." Read more at:

" Anyone can start over and make a new ending"

Francisco (Chico) Xavier was a Brazilian medium with a beautiful soul. His work was recognized around the world. In 1981 and 1982, he was nominated for the Nobel peace prize. I am not spirit, but I respect the work of Chico Xavier. He wrote powerful books and left examples of love, humility and charity.
Today I want to share some phrases and thoughts of Chico Xavier:

One of the most beautiful lessons I have learned with grief: Do not judge, definitely not to judge anyone.
Though nobody can go back and make a new beginning... Anyone can start over and make a new ending.
Every little bit of peace I bring someone is worth the peace I never had.
When we have faith and discipline everything becomes easier. Patience is the mother of all virtues. With anxiety all our lives become worse.

Seniors making a difference

This is a life lesson learned at Jacksonville from seniors volunteers like Carroll Alsobrook and her husband Duane Alsobrook. At 77, Duane delivers meals to around 20 people each month. He is a part of a program run by the Cathedral Foundation of Jacksonville. Meals on Wheels delivers 750 to 800 hot meals a week and more than 1.755 frozen meals a month. Besides complain about getting older they decided to make a difference.
